Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Graduate Trainee

The MEAL Graduate will have an opportunity to support the role of MEAL Officer on promoting accountability, documenting evidence and lessons learnt, monitoring progress and developing tools.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, and systems
- Assist in tracking the project’s output and outcome level results on a periodic basis in close coordination with the MEAL Officer
- Collaborate with the programme officer team to implement the work plans for each project, serving the targeted young people in our diversity
- Assisting in data collection, data entry and data management processes
- Conducting data analysis and preparing reports to summarise findings and insights
- Supporting the organisation in conducting assessments, surveys with adolescents, young people and partners
- Assisting in the identification and documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to promote organisational learning
- Collaborating with program teams to ensure the integration of monitoring and evaluation activities into program planning and implementation
- Other duties as assigned
Eligibility:
- Must be a recent graduate and a holder of university degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a degree in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge of MEAL Principles: Understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles, methodologies, and tools is essential
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistical techniques is also beneficial
- Field experience and/or knowledge of SRHR, women’s rights, HIV prevention and treatment, mental health ,HIV and emerging issues, global health, or international development will be an added advantage
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural context
- Ability to work and cope with strict deadlines
- Highly motivated with a keen interest in development work and is willing to learn
- Communication skills, including writing and editing skills, and being able to communicate effectively online will be really essential
