The Public Spend Forum, Freshwater Advisors, and other top-tier partners offer a virtual six-week technical, commercial, and mentorship accelerator program called the Sustainable Cities Accelerator. Leading AWS technical professionals will work with you to design and scale your cloud platform.

Programme Overview

Only 3% of the area on Earth is occupied by cities, but they produce 75% of the planet’s carbon emissions. Building sustainable cities is an essential part of the fight against climate change, with the urban population predicted to increase 1.5X to 6 billion people by 2045. Goal 11 of the Sustainable Development Goals

Innovation and cooperation between industries, governments, startups, and multinational organizations will be needed to address this global challenge. Clean tech investment and innovation are booming across many industries, including energy transformation, mobility and transportation, the built environment, and the circular economy. With this need comes a quick rise in the number of companies attempting to address the greatest sustainability issues of the present.

The AWS Sustainable Cities Accelerator is made for established entrepreneurs and new businesses seeking to advance technological and commercial milestones. They seek to quickly achieve these successes by utilizing cutting-edge technology and growth acceleration from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their partners in support of scaling solutions to support sustainable cities. The second cohort of the AWS Sustainable Cities Accelerator for 2022 focuses on sustainable built environments and infrastructure.

Eligibility

  • Companies from around the world are welcome to take part.
  • If you are a startup working in sustainable infrastructure / built environment, you may apply.
  • They welcome companies from growth stage to series C and beyond.
