Women in Food and Agriculture (WFA) Mentorship Programme 2023

The Women in Food and Agriculture (WFA) Mentorship Programme application period for 2023 is now open.
In 2022, WFA welcomed more than 340 new members from all around the world to help women who wanted to further their professions in the food and agricultural industry.

They are expanding the program’s reach this year! Everyone is welcome to contribute to shaping the future for women, from farmers to CEOs, scientists to AgTech. You may join us by either finding a mentor to assist with your professional and personal growth or by offering your services as a mentor to the next generation of business leaders. You might support the expansion of gender diversity in the food and agricultural sector by participating with them for only one hour each month.

Cost:

With the support of Alltech, the programme is provided at no cost to participants.

Eligibility:

Mentors:

You do not have to be a senior-level executive (or a woman)! They are looking for people at all levels and
backgrounds to provide insights and guidance, and they will ensure that you have more experience than
your mentee.

Mentor applicants should:

  • Be a good listener
  • Be an honest and open person who is willing to share your expertise
  • Have at least one year of experience in the food and ag sector
  • Be someone who can dedicate 1 hour per month to connect with your counterpart
  • Ideally possess some leadership or management experience

Mentees:

Mentees are comprised of women who are working within agri-food or exploring a career within the
industry. They welcome people of all career and education levels, and they will ensure that your mentor
has the experience to provide you with insightful guidance.

Mentee applicants should be:

  • A good listener
  • An honest and open person who is willing to accept feedback
  • Someone who would benefit from help and support from a senior person in the industry
  • Someone who can dedicate 1 hour per month to meeting with a mentorClick here to apply

Oyin Olufayo is a Sustainable Development Goals Advocate. A recent graduate of The School of Politics, Policy, and Governance (SPPG) She is a Technical Writer, Political Writer, and a Content Writer. Her passion for sustainable development goals has been implemented by creating tangible solutions. She has featured in grassroots initiatives like TedX, World Literacy Foundation, Spur Nation Media, FRCN, Naija Law and etc. spreading the impact of Sustainable education, and also facilitated numerous events regarding SDGs.
