The WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award 2023 is now accepting nominations. The WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award are two worldwide honors that recognize remarkable contributions to a sustainable future.
Since the year 2000, the WIN WIN Award has drawn attention to extraordinary achievements made all across the world. The award’s objectives include encouraging creativity and long-term synergy in addition to recognizing significant sustainability initiatives, with the ultimate goal of advancing humans, the environment, and our common future.
The WIN WIN Youth Award was founded in 2018 and is an international award that aims to empower and
reward young people who play an active role in the creation of a more sustainable future.
Theme:
An independent jury selects a yearly award theme pertaining to current global relevance and to reach the
17 Sustainable Development Goals. The award lifts initiatives in all aspects of sustainability – social,
economic and environmental.
The theme for 2023 is Fighting Disinformation, and past themes include Sustainable Aquaculture (2022)
Anti-Corruption (2021), Biodiversity (2020), Sustainable Food (2019), Industrial Symbiosis (2018) and
Sustainable Design (2017), among others.
Awards:
- The winner of the WIN WIN Award is awarded 1 million SEK at the WIN WIN Award ceremony
in Gothenburg, Sweden. - The winner of the WIN WIN Youth Award is awarded 50.000 SEK at the WIN WIN Award
ceremony in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Eligibility:
- Candidates for the WIN WIN Award are actors who have created change that can inspire
others and have shown what is necessary to fight disinformation. - Candidates for the WIN WIN Youth Award are young actors between the ages of 13-29 who,
with their initiatives, have contributed positively to fighting disinformation.

Nomination for the 2023 Awards closes on January 15, 2023. Late nominations will not be accepted.
