Applications for the RUFORUM Young Scientists Award in 2024 are now being accepted.Through its Research & Innovation program, RUFORUM aims to assist its member universities in cultivating the skills necessary to support agrifood system research and innovation, which will help feed and flourish Africa. RUFORUM created the “Young Scientists Award” as a result. The award’s 2024 edition will be introduced at the second RUFORUM Triennial Conference, which is scheduled for August 12–16, 2024, in Windhoek.
The RUFORUM Young Scientists Award honors the distinguished work and significant contributions made by young scientists from RUFORUM member universities toward the creation, dissemination, and application of agricultural technologies that have a significant effect and are pertinent to societal requirements.
Eligibility:
- Should be a Southern Africa national, from RUFORUM member Universities
- Should be under the age of 40 (as of January 1, 2024)
- Should be engaged in research and development in agriculture and related disciplines
- Must be ready to attend the RUFORUM Triennial conference in Windhoek, Namibia, from August 12th-16th, 2024
- Women are encouraged to apply.
