National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA)/Coursera Scholarship Cohort 3 Program
Program Starts: 24th of February, 2024
The third cohort of the NITDA/Coursera Scholarship is now accepting applications.Through a partnership with Coursera, NITDA is able to provide learning scholarships to Nigerian nationals, allowing them to pursue professional certifications from highly regarded US colleges and some of the largest international tech firms in the world (including Google, IBM, and Meta). Each applicant must choose one certification program from each of the two categories, A and B, that they would want to enroll in.
- Category A (IT Career Pathway) offers a total of 20 professional certification programs to help you kickstart a successful IT career. Each program comprises a series of related courses focused on providing deep knowledge and hands-on skills required for employment. When you complete each individual course within the program, you’ll earn a certificate of completion. However, the professional certification will be earned when you have completed all the required courses in the program.
- Category B (Complementary Skills Pathway) offers 4 certification programs for you to choose from to complement your IT career skills and sharpen your use of digital productivity tools, entrepreneurship, or freelancing skills.
Benefits
- Successful applicants will receive a Coursera license in their provided email in the form of a joining link. They will then be able to join the program and enroll on a course by clicking on that link.
- Each scholar will have access to the Coursera license for a period of six (6) months.
- Scholars are expected to use this time to complete as many professional certifications as possible, but they can only be enrolled in one certification at a time, with any of the 3MTT 12 core skills listed below as courses within the certifications; Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis & Visualization, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Animation, AI / Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Game Development, Cloud Computing, Dev Ops and Data Science.
