For the 2024 MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy Program, applications are now being accepted.MTFza is a 12-month industry preparedness program that offers the chance to gain invaluable experience in directing, producing, cinematography, commissioning, and many other areas while learning from some of the top figures in TV and film.
An certified 12-month immersion program that combines theory and practical experience in cinematography, editing, audio production, and narrative is designed to nurture Africa’s future stars in television and film. With locations in three regions and thirteen nations around Africa, it is the first academy of its sort. The opportunity to develop their abilities alongside legends of the business is extended to sixty young, bright, and deserving individuals who wish to work in the film and television industry and innovate as well. This year-long funded programme is offered through accredited regional MTF Academies based in Kenya (for East Africa), Nigeria (for West Africa) and Zambia (for Southern Africa) in partnership with respected local academic institutions.
Eligibility:
- You are a South African citizen
- You have completed a 3 year Diploma/Degree in film and TV or a related qualification (Drama, Acting, Journalism etc.) within the last 2 years.
- You have achieved a minimum of a C + Aggregate.

- Copy of academic transcripts / Tertiary qualification Certificate – certified
- Confirmation of banking details – verified by bank with bank stamp and/or letter
