The 2024 Leading African Women in Food Fellowship (LAWFF) Program is now accepting applications.The groundbreaking Leading African Women in Food Fellowship (LAWFF) Program honors and empowers female leaders in the African food and agricultural industries. The program offers remarkable female disruptors, entrepreneurs, lawmakers, chefs, trendsetters, and storytellers six months of training, coaching, and a supportive community. In keeping with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, LAWFF actively advances gender equality, fights poverty, and encourages sustainable economic growth.

AFC is currently accepting nominations for the Leading African Women in Food Fellowship, an ambitious program aimed at amplifying the voices and work of young African women who are making outstanding contributions and impact across the food ecosystem. This initiative will amplify, celebrate, champion and advance the work of successful nominees by providing them with recognition and access to critical resources.

Eligibility:

  1. Women only
  2. Ages 25-40 years
  3. At least three years experience working in the agri-food sector
  4. Demonstrable impact
  5. A citizen of an African country
  6. Resident in an African country at the time of application

Fellowship Categories:

  • Fellowship categories include Disruptors, Trailblazers, Food/Beverage Narrative Changers, Top Chefs in Africa, and Ecosystem Enablers. Each category recognises unique contributions within the industry.
