GREAT Scholarships 2023-2024

Application for the GREAT Scholarships 2023–2024 is currently open. This year, the University of Edinburgh will provide five scholarships to students from China, India, Nigeria, Turkey, and Vietnam who are pursuing one-year postgraduate master’s programs that are eligible for the 2023–2024 academic year in collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign.

GREAT Scholarships helps students from 18 countries access top-notch UK higher education options. It was established by the British Council’s Study UK campaign in collaboration with a number of other UK universities. 150 scholarships from UK institutions are being made available to students in 18 different countries as part of the Study UK initiative.

The scholarship program provides students pursuing one year of postgraduate education in the UK with financial assistance of at least £10,000. In the 41 institutions located in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, students can apply for courses in a variety of topic areas.

Benefits:

  • Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility:

  • At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of China, India, Nigeria,Turkey and Vietnam who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study.
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

  • MSc Climate Change Finance and Investment

Applicants from Vietnam

  • MSc Banking Innovation and Risk Analytics
  • MSc Climate Change Finance and Investment

Application:

  • The scholarship deadline for The GREAT China, India and Nigeria is Thursday, 30 March 2023, 23:59 BST.
  • The scholarship deadline for The GREAT Turkey and Vietnam is Monday, 1 May 2023, 23:59 BST.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.
