The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) 2024 Landscape Leadership Camp is now accepting applications.In 2024, join other young visionaries from around the continent as you start on a transformative path towards landscape leadership by applying now for a position at the Landscape Leadership Camp. The camp, which was co-designed by the Youth in Landscapes Initiative (YIL) and the Global Landscapes Forum, will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, just before the GLF Africa 2024 Hybrid Conference.
This immersive experience will bring together like-minded students, young professionals, experts and community-minded individuals from across Africa, creating a vibrant, cross-cultural community dedicated to driving impactful and transformative change.
Eligibility:
If you are:
- Between the ages of 18 and 35;
- A citizen of an African country;
- And passionate about thriving communities and landscapes
Then, the 2024 Landscape Leadership Camp is for you!
Funding:
- GLF will offer a limited number of full and partial travel scholarships to cover some participants’ travel, accommodation, and associated attendance costs to and from Nairobi.
- Considering each person’s application, GLF will award scholarships based on need and merit.
- The remaining selected participants are expected to raise their funds to attend, though the team will be available to assist with fundraising wherever possible.
Application:
- To apply, please fill out the application form by Sunday 16 June.
- The application will take about five to ten minutes to complete.
- You will need to submit a one-minute video answering the question: How can we achieve climate justice for Africa’s communities, landscapes and seascapes?
- Please note that all applicants will receive an automatic application confirmation email, but only shortlisted candidates will be contacted beyond that.
