Genius Bee Innovation Programme 2022

A nationwide innovation program called Genius Bee brings together young Nigerian talent from different secondary schools to engage and develop capacity building.

Their goal is to “develop a network of young innovators and change-makers that would impact the world, through their transformative actions and innovative solutions”. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be the sole focus of a global student platform that will be developed, allowing young people to connect, receive training, and gain access to a special ecosystem of professionals, mentors, investors, and governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Genius Bee Innovation Programme provides the next generation hands-on trainings on SDGs, Circular Economy, Green Economy, Waste Recycling and Artificial Intelligence. The Genius Bee invites secondary school students to show off their knowledge of general academics.

 Benefits

  • A bootcamp training and multi-educational contests which includes essay writing, spellings, speech presentation, arithmetic, waste innovation and more.
  • As a central part of the experience, they will immerse the young talents in a daylong bootcamp where they will receive training and support from facilitators and mentors to frame problems and develop early stage prototype solutions within their interested SDG.
  • Top three (3) schools will be given the grand prize of 200,000 Naira, 150,000 Naira and 100,000 Naira, respectively.

Young applicants of secondary school of Nigeria.

Oyin Olufayo

Oyin Olufayo is a Sustainable Development Goals Advocate. A recent graduate of The School of Politics, Policy, and Governance (SPPG) She is a Technical Writer, Political Writer, and a Content Writer. Her passion for sustainable development goals has been implemented by creating tangible solutions. She has featured in grassroots initiatives like TedX, World Literacy Foundation, Spur Nation Media, FRCN, Naija Law and etc. spreading the impact of Sustainable education, and also facilitated numerous events regarding SDGs.
