AREF Women in Research Essential Grant Writing Skills Programme 2023

Deadline: 12th of May, 2023

The AREF Women in Research Essential Grant Writing Skills Programme 2023 is currently accepting applications. The Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF) works to improve the health research capabilities of African scientists who are addressing the major health issues facing the region. They understand the importance of fostering a diverse scientific community in Africa, which is why they are explicitly inviting female biomedical/health scholars to apply.

Women who are engaged, rising biomedical/health scholars in Africa are encouraged to apply to take part in AREF’s Essential Grant Writing Skills Programme. In order to receive the full benefits of this program, you must be at the point in your research career where you are actively looking for autonomous financing but have not yet attained the large grant required to sustain your research independence.

Between the two sessions, there will be a five-week break during which you are required to prepare a plan.
