17th UNFCCC Conference of Youth (COY) – Call for Delegates

Deadline: 10th of October, 2022

The official Children and Youth Constituency to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, YOUNGO, organised the 17th U.N. Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY), which serves as the youth counterpart to COP27.

COY intends to include youth in the UNFCCC negotiation processes, give them a voice, and help create intergovernmental climate change policies. Input from LCOYs, RCOYs, or other pre-COP climate preparations will be incorporated into the Global Youth Statement of international youth policy demands. Youth from all countries are invited to apply and come together to build capacity and technical knowledge about COP, develop shared strategies, and add to the statement.

Funding

  • There is a limited number of funded, partially funded and self-funded spots.

Eligibility

  • Open to young people from around the world;
  • Applicant should be 18 – 35 years old.

Application

The 17th Conference of Youth will take place from November 2 – 4, 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, immediately prior to COP27. The application deadline is October 10, 2022 at 11:59 PM GMT.
