Woods Hole Summer Internship in USA 2023 (Fully Funded)

Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Woods Hole Summer Internship in the United States. The Woods Hole Internship in the United States will take place in the summer of 2023 and last for 10–12 weeks in total. All foreign students from any country are eligible to apply for this internship. The Woods Hole Summer Internship is not open to students from the United States.

The internship will pay for all costs, including airfare, lodging, meals, a stipend, and visa support. This is your last chance to secure an internship in the United States. Numerous disciplines, including biology, chemistry, engineering, geology, geophysics, mathematics, meteorology, physics, oceanography, and marine policy, are covered by the WHI. Below you’ll find all the information you need regarding the Woods Hole Summer Internship 2023.

Benefits:

This is a Fully Funded Summer Internship and it will cover all the expenses. Know your worth, and benefit from valuable on-the-job experience and training with a USA internship. Read on for a list of advantages you could gain from working abroad.

  • The number of fellows varies each year. It ranges from 25-30 per summer.
  • Stipend: A Weekly Stipend. The stipend for the summer of 2023 is $680. Per Week.
  • Travel: Round-Trip Travel to Woods Hole, USA upto $700
  • Housing: Shared-Room in a shared unit, with two single beds per room.
  • Visa Assistance: International Students will assist fellowships in obtaining the necessary J-1 Visa paperwork.
  • The Fellows will also have an opportunity to interact with current MIT-WHOI Joint Program graduate students.

Fields:

Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics, Meteorology, Physics, Oceanography, Marine Policy, and other related fields.

Eligibility:

  • Open to all international students from any country.
  • Open to undergraduate students.
  • Fellowship will start on May 2023.

Requirements:

  • Updated CV or resume
  • A current unofficial university transcript, a PDF document.
  • At least three letters of recommendation from professors.
  • A completed Course Record listing undergraduate coursework by subject category, a primary textbook used for each course, and the grade received for completing the course.
  • Personal Statement.
  • In order to intern in USA, you will most likely need a J-1 visa. This type of visa is issued to international academic students and interns who have been accepted into an exchange program with the US government.
