University of Queensland Destination Australia Scholarship

Deadline: 18th of January, 2023

The emphasis of this scholarship program is on academic prowess, experiences, and employability. The program has a four-year maximum length and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
The Department of Education of the Australian Government provides funding for the Destination Australia scholarship. The National Strategy for International Education 2025 and this are compatible.

The purpose of the scholarship is to

  • Encourage and aid in the study of regional Australia
  • grow and promote regional tertiary education providers in Australia
  • Give kids a top-notch educational experience.

The University of Queensland Destination Australia Scholarship has the following programs of study starting in 2022 academic session: Bachelor of Agricultural Science; Bachelor of Equine Science; Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours); Bachelor of Veterinary Technology; Bachelor of Wildlife Science; Master of Agri-business; Master of Agricultural Science; Master of Animal Science.

Eligibility:

Interested applicants seeking for University of Queensland Destination Australia Scholarship are expected to meet the following conditions:

  • Are an international student
  • Hold a student visa for the scholarship’s duration
  • Are a commencing student
  • Are UQ alumni commencing a different program (for example, Master’s after completing a Bachelor’s degree)
  • Have a full offer to study an eligible program delivered entirely at the UQ Gatton campus in 2023 (you don’t need to accept your full offer by the scholarship application deadline).

And you:

  • Will study full-time via Internal study mode at UQ’s Gatton campus for the scholarship’s duration
  • Reside in a regional area of Australia for the scholarship’s duration as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure 2016 (Australian Bureau of Statistics
