University of Ottawa Excellence Scholarship for African Students 2023/24

The variety of the university’s foreign student body makes it proud. African nationals studying abroad who are accepted for the autumn 2023 term or later are eligible for this renewable scholarship.

African students who enroll in one of the above undergraduate programs in the faculties of Engineering, Science, or Social Sciences are eligible for this scholarship grant. Depending on the school, this substantial financial commitment to their education lowers their tuition costs by $17,500 to $25,000 each year.

  • Upon enrollment, this grant will be immediately awarded to all qualifying students. It will be directly deducted from their tuition costs.
  • The Entrance Scholarship for African Students Studying in English and this scholarship cannot be combined.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the University of Ottawa Excellence Scholarship for African Students Studying in English are expected to meet the following conditions:

  • Meet the admission requirements of the program in question;
  • Be enrolled full time for the first time in a university undergraduate program;
  • Be an African citizen.
  • Must meet the academic averages required for the scholarship.

Application:

 Interested applicants are required to apply for scholarship and bursaries as soon as you they have applied to the University of Ottawa and have received their uoAccess ID and password.

  • All scholarships and bursaries applications must be submitted online, using Online Scholarships and Bursaries. Application forms are usually available two months before the application deadline.
  • Upload all required documents in Online Scholarships and Bursaries and submit your application.
