The Sir Emeka Okwuosa Women Business Program 2023 is now accepting applications. The Sir Emeka Okwuosa Women Enterprise Program (SEO WEP) is an impact investment program that intends to provide business tools, funding, and mentoring to 30 women-owned projects and MSMEs. Access to markets and business literacy for sustainability in order to accelerate and expand economic prosperity and social progress by unlocking entrepreneurial talent to produce and multiply local value.

Using a virtual acceleration method, they are collaborating with financial institutions to give company finance, pre- and post-training, and technical assistance. The Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation recognizes that when women are economically empowered, they reinvest in their families and communities, enhancing the social fabric of society as well as the workforce’s education and skill levels. This multiplier effect accelerates economic growth and enhances stability.

Program Phases:

  • Phase 1: 2-weeks in-person training
  • Phase 2: Business Pitch day contest (up to 5 million naira)
  • Phase 3: 2-months peer-to-peer mentoring
  • Phase 4: Post-evaluations and post-training support

Eligibility:

  • Open to women who are ready to grow their business or want to start their own.
  • Be between the ages of 20 – 35 years old.
  • Have basic computer knowledge.
  • Have a computer or tablet with internet access.
  • Willing to commit to a 3-months program.
  • Must be resident in Anambra State, Nigeria.
