Science for Africa Epidemic Science Leadership and Innovation Networks 2024

Deadline: 31st of January, 2024 (East Africa Time)

This request aims to create a robust ecosystem of Epidemic Science Leadership and Innovation Networks (EPSILONs) across Africa. Each EPSILON will consist of three to six organizations in a ‘hub and spoke’ consortium. Each consortium will create a network of research excellence in a theme area related to epidemic and pandemic sciences research, preparedness, and response.

These networks will foster and promote world-class epidemic and pandemic sciences research and innovation in Africa, establishing a critical mass of experts across all health sectors to address current health challenges while strengthening capacity to respond to future infectious disease health threats. They will contribute to creating communities of practice, which may be leveraged for long-term collaboration and during future outbreaks to respond to urgent research and policy.
