Pratham Education Foundation (Pratham) is a renowned learning organization dedicated to the mission of ensuring “every child in school and learning well.” Over two decades, Pratham’s initiatives have expanded from urban slum preschools in Mumbai to comprehensive education programs spanning 23 states and union territories, targeting diverse age groups, including dropout girls, women, and youth.

commitment to enhancing the quality of education in India is achieved through collaborative efforts involving the government, local communities, parents, teachers, volunteers, and civil society. Pratham’s programs are designed to complement governmental initiatives, operating at scale to reach a broad audience and provide replicable models for partners.

Pratham initiated its digital interventions in 2015, starting with the Hybrid Learning Programme in 1000+ villages across India. This was followed by the YouthNet Programme in 2020, impacting over 20,000 communities served by Pratham’s Vocational and Youth Training Centres. The aim was to expand the successes of the Hybrid Learning Program.

1. Creativity Club Intern

Job Description:

Join Pratham in implementing the ‘Pratham Creativity Club,’ a groundbreaking initiative fostering creativity in children and youth through art, music, science, and more.

As an intern, your primary role will involve conducting engaging workshops for children aged 10 to 14. You will receive comprehensive training from our team on conducting these workshops effectively. This position is open to college students and working professionals with weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess submissions, such as artworks or projects, based on predefined guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of grading scores and feedback.
  • Summarize feedback for relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a relevant academic program or recently graduated.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for data recording.

Job Description:

As an intern, you will be responsible for conducting workshops for children aged 10 to 14. You will receive training to effectively engage with the children. This opportunity is open to college students and working professionals who can commit to weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and conducting workshops in various locations.
  • Engage with children and encourage their creativity.
  • Create a positive and inclusive workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with team members for workshop logistics.
  • Maintain accurate workshop records.
  • Review and grade creatives submitted by youth and children.
  • Provide post-workshop reports.

Requirements:

  • College student or working professional with the ability to commit.
  • Proficiency in Marathi language (verbal and written) for ArtShaala (MH).
  • Experience in workshops or working with children (preferred).
  • Training in Visual Arts or design (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work on weekends and travel to rural areas.
