Loran Scholarship in Canada 2023

Students from Canadian high schools and CEGEPs who exhibit qualities like honesty, leadership, and excellent character are eligible for this grant. The scholarship lasts for four years and is transferable to 25 public universities in Canada (if you keep to the terms and conditions).
Are you curious about the value of this scholarship? Undergraduate scholarships for up to $100,000, a tuition remission worth up to $10,000, and an annual stipend worth $10,000 are given to Loran Scholars.
The foundation thinks it is wise to support young Canadians who are morally upright and eager to improve the world. Every year, they give scholarships and rewards to deserving students.

For High School Students:

  • You must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
  • A minimum cumulative average of 85% is required.
  • You must be in your final year of uninterrupted full-time studies in high school.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Students who graduated in 2022 and are currently taking a gap year are also eligible to apply.

For CEGEP Students:

  • You must have a minimum R score of 29.
  • You must be a permanent resident or citizen of Canadian.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age.
  • You must be in your final year of uninterrupted full-time studies in Cegep. If you are planning to attend university outside of Québec after only one year of Cegep, you can apply in your first year of Cegep.
  • Students who graduated in 2022 and are currently taking a gap year are also eligible to apply.

How do you get the Loran scholarship?

  1. Go to the Loran scholarship application page.
  2. Read the instructions on the application form before filling out anything.
  3. Fill out your personal information, educational information, and activity record.
  4. List 5 tasks you have completed that help them know who you are.
  5. Fill out the community service section (if applicable).
  6. Write short essays on the topics given to you.
  7. Attach all the required documents including your transcripts or academic records, reference letters, sponsorship confirmation, etc.
  8. Review the information you entered and complete your application. You will be notified once they receive your application.
  9. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of their interview dates. The interview will be done online and candidates get to meet the local leaders.
  10. Outstanding semi-finalists are invited for national interviews.
