Les Margaret 2024 Awards for Women in Tech entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs.

Every year, the Les Margaret Awards honor female entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs from Europe, Africa, and Canada whose ideas and projects address pressing social issues.

Margaret Hamilton, the head of the software engineering department that created the embedded software for NASA’s Apollo space mission, is honored with this award. The first man to set foot on the moon did so because of Margaret Hamilton’s assistance.

JFD promotes the expansion and global impact of initiatives and enterprises run by European, African, and Canadian women through the les Margaret Awards.

Requirements:

  • You are a female founder or co-founder of a tech startup for the “Entrepreneur” category.
  • You have developed an innovative project in agreement with your employer while remaining an employee for the “Intrapreneur” category.
  • You are a young woman under 18 with a project that highlights your creative, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, for the “Junior” category.
  • You are a citizen of a EuropeanAfrican country, or from Canada, your project is innovative and respond to societal issues.

Timeline:

The call for applications will close on 8 January 2024. The finalists of les Margaret Awards 2024 will be pre-selected by JFD, then presented on 8 February 2024 to a jury of experts who will choose 10 winners:

  • Entrepreneurs Europe – Africa – Canada
  • Intrapreneurs Europe – Africa – Canada
  • Juniors Europe – Africa – Canada
  • Territorial Favourite

The Margaret Awards ceremony will take place on 17 April 2024.
