GWSC Scholarships to study Master’s degree in Asian Institute of Technology 2023

For students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at the Asian Institute of Technology, the Global Water & Sanitation Center (GWSC) is delighted to declare the creation of “GWSC Scholarships.” (AIT). The primary goal of this scholarship is to assist deserving students and young workers from developing nations in their pursuit of engineering, environmental, and management studies in order to support the growth of their home countries.

By utilizing government money, foreign financial organizations, and other development partners’ resources, the Global Water and Sanitation Center (GWSC), a recently formed center at AIT, seeks to advance and support the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) strategy in Asia and beyond. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is currently funding global water and sanitation projects at the center, including the Technical Assistance Hub (TA Hub), the Development and scaling up of the Integrated Municipal Information System (IMIS), the Improvement of the National Sanitation Dashboard (NSD), and the Women in Sanitation Enterprises Project. (WISE).

Engineering, environmental, and management studies are the main areas of study at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), a worldwide English-speaking postgraduate school. Graduates of AIT’s demanding academic, research, and community programs are prepared for careers in leadership in Asia and beyond.

Benefits:

  • Scholarships are equivalent to 12 credits of tuition fee and 2-semester registration fees.
  • Opportunity for internships in GWSC or GWSC partner institutes. GWSC has partnerships with more than 40 institutions.
  • Office and facilities to conduct research in GWSC.
  • Financial support to conduct research.

 Eligibility:

  • Candidate should have a cumulative GPA ≥3.5 in a bachelor’s degree.
  •  Candidate should have IELTS-Academic with a score of 6.0 or an AIT EET Score of 6.0.
  •  Brief research proposal on improving water supply, sanitation, and hygiene including integration of data, gender, and climate change.
  •  Candidates working in the public sector will have an advantage.
