Google PhD Fellowship for International Students 2023/2024

Google PhD Fellowship 2023: Candidates who meet the required qualifications are encouraged to submit applications for the Google PhD Research Fellowship for overseas students in 2023. Graduate students who are awarded Google PhD Fellowships receive direct assistance as they work toward their PhDs, as well as a link to a Google Research Mentor.
The Fellowship program was established to honor excellent graduate students who are conducting great and original research in subjects connected to computer science. Google’s purpose includes encouraging diverse applicants and promoting inclusive research communities. Google presently provides Fellowships in numerous continents and nations of the world.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Google PhD Research Fellowship 2023 for International Students, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
Nominated students in Australia and New Zealand, East Asia, Europe, the United States and Canada
- Universities should only nominate students that are full-time graduate students pursuing a PhD and enrolled in an institution in one of the regions listed above.
- Universities are to nominate applicants who have completed their coursework by the Fall of the award year when the fellowship begins. Usually the third year for US and Canadian
- Students must remain enrolled full-time in the PhD program for the duration of the Fellowship or forfeit the award.
- Google employees, and their spouses, children and members of their household are not eligible.
- Students already supported by a comparable industry award are not eligible.
Direct Applicant Students in Africa and India
- Applicants must be full-time graduate students pursuing a PhD and enrolled in an African or Indian institution.
- Early stage PhD students enrolled one year or less.
- Applicants who are currently in their first year of a part-time PhD program and transferring to full-time positions.

Fellowship:
Africa
- Up to 3 year Fellowship of US $30K to cover stipend and other research related activities, travel expenses including overseas travel
- Google Research Mentor
Australia and New Zealand
- AUD $10K to cover stipend and other research related activities, travel expenses including overseas travel
- Google Research Mentor
East Asia
- US $10K to cover stipend and other research related activities, travel expenses including overseas travel
- Google Research Mentor
Europe
- Up to 3 year Fellowship of yearly bursary towards stipend / salary, health care, social benefits, tuition and fees, conference travel and personal computing equipment. The bursary varies by country.

- Up to 4 year Fellowship of US $50K to cover stipend and other research related activities, travel expenses including overseas travel

Late-stage PhD students
- 1 year Fellowship
- US $10K to recognise research contributions, cover stipend and other research related activities, travel expenses including overseas travel

Southeast Asia
- Up to 3 year Fellowship
- US $10K per year for up to 3 years (or up to graduation, whichever is earlier) to cover stipend and other research related activities, travel expenses including overseas travel

- Full tuition and fees (enrollment fees, health insurance, books) plus a stipend to be used for living expenses, travel and personal equipment
