GirlEng Technovation Camp 2023 for High School Girls in South Africa

Application for the GirlEng Technovation Camp 2023 is currently available. The GirlEng Technovation Camp is now seeking 50 high-achieving girls in grades 9 through 11 who are interested in a career in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

To help females think and act like STEM experts, the camp is a 4-day active learning event. The GirlEng Technovation Camp will teach you how to code, engage in robotics workshops, and learn about other emerging technologies. You will also get the inside scoop from female engineering and technology students and professionals.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants should be a Grade 9–11 high school girl currently studying mathematics (compulsory)
    and science (recommended).
  • Show a high interest in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
    career.
  • Must be residing in Johannesburg or surrounding areas.
  • Available for all four days of the workshop.

Event details:

Dates: March 28-31, 2023
Venue: WomHub Office, 5 Wessels Rd, Rivonia, Johannesburg
Time: 08h00 – 16h00 (daily)

NB: The camp is not a sleep over camp. Participants will come in the morning and leave in the afternoon.

Participants are selected through an application process. The application forms must be completed online.
Shortlisted participants will be contacted before March 4, 2023.
