International applicants who wish to study a master’s degree in Belgium may submit applications for the 2023 Top-up Grants through Ghent University. Academic acceptance is a requirement for all candidates.
Any new international candidates who desire to enroll in an English-taught master’s or master’s master’s program from any country on the OESO-DAC list are invited to submit an application. The grantee must show that the first master’s year has at least 50 credits in order to receive the top-up award, which is for two master’s years.
The Dutch King William I founded Ghent University in 1817. A variety of courses are offered by its 11 faculties. One of the biggest universities in Belgium is Ghent, which is situated in Flanders.
Eligibility:
- Any nations on the OESO-DAC list are eligible.
- A master’s degree will be conferred with the scholarship. The online course catalog contains the most recent overview of these master’s programs.
Requirements:
- New students who have been admitted academically to either Ghent University’s English-taught master’s programs or master’s following master’s programs.
- Upon applying for a Master’s program, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- While applying for a Master-after-Master program, candidates must hold a Master’s degree.
- Candidates must be citizens of one of the nations on the OESO-DAC country list’s long list.
- The Top-Up Grant will only be considered for submissions from students who are fully enrolled in their program.
Benefits:
- Ten scholarships may be given out for the academic year 2023–2024.
- A monthly allowance of €1000.
- Complete coverage (health, civil liability, repatriation)
Application:
There is no self-application process for this Top-Up Grant. There isn’t an application to complete.
Before April 1st, applicants for academic admission must submit their applications.
- All qualified candidates must provide all of the following paperwork (click here for further details):
- A legalized copy of the basic diploma, its transcripts, or the diploma supplement is required for a complete application.
- If the diploma and accompanying transcripts were written in any other language, they must also be translated into Dutch, French, German, or English by a sworn translator.
- The legalization page with the QR code is required by Gent.
- Depending on the program applicants apply for, proof of Dutch or English proficiency is required.
- A resume; grade reports
- Students interested in earning a diploma or degree at Ghent University should review the admission requirements.
- If English is not the applicant’s first language, they must provide proof of their English language proficiency.
