Scholarship Description:
The Volcani Institute in Rishon-LeZion, Israel, is offering a fully funded postdoc/Ph.D. scholarship to holders of an M.Sc. (for Ph.D. position) or a Ph.D. (for postdoc position) degree in Biology/Agricultural Sciences. The successful candidate will work on specific projects related to autophagy and cell death in fruit ripening and senescence, and will be a part of a collaborative team. Eligibility:
The scholarship is open to candidates of any gender, religion, and nationality who hold an M.Sc. (for Ph.D. position) or a Ph.D. (for postdoc position) degree in Biology/Agricultural Sciences. The candidate must have good knowledge in at least two of the following: Plant/fruit physiology, Molecular biology, Protein biochemistry, Cell biology. Hands-on knowledge in confocal live imaging is an advantage, but not essential. The candidate should be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
