Freie Universität Berlin Test Scholarships for PhD Studies in Germany

For potential international PhD Candidates enrolling to begin their research studies at the institution, the Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin) in Germany is presently accepting applications for its test scholarships. The scholarship comprises of a travel reimbursement and a monthly grant of 1,300 Euro (for a maximum of three months).

Professors at the Free University of Berlin may apply for test grants for potential PhD students through the Centre for International Cooperation as part of the support for internationalization of research at the university.

This policy’s objective is to aid in the hiring of overseas PhD candidates. Within six weeks of the project’s conclusion, applicants must submit a project report to the Center for International Cooperation. A monthly scholarship of 1,300 euros (for a maximum of three months) plus a travel reimbursement make up the funding.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for Free University of Berlin Test Scholarships, you are expected to meet the following conditions:

  • Applicants must be international candidates
  • Applicants must be an academic professor
  • Applicants are required to submit a project report to the Centre for International Cooperation within six weeks of project completion.

Application:

Funding applications may only be submitted by professors from Free University of Berlin. Please submit the application form, a CV of the prospective PhD candidate, and a working program for the stay at Freie Universität to Hans-Martin Meis, hans-martin.meis@fu-berlin.de.
