Destination Australia Scholarship for International Students 2022/23

The University of Queensland is a public research university located primarily in Brisbane, the capital city of the Australian state of Queensland. One of the six sandstone universities, or the oldest university in each state, the University of Queensland, was established in 1909 by the Queensland parliament. A new scholarship program called Destination Australia Scholarships has been introduced by the Australian government, and it is open to both domestic and international students who choose to study in rural Australia. It is consistent with the National Strategy for Global Education 2025.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide pupils with a top-notch educational experience, encourage and promote regional Australian studies, and promote and develop regional tertiary education providers in Australia.

Benefits

  • The value of the scholarship will be $15,000 per year for the minimum number of years required to complete the course.

Eligibility

You qualify if you:

  • Are a student from abroad countries.
  • You just started studying.
  • Possess a student visa for the term of the scholarship.
  • Possess a complete offer to enroll in a qualified program and will be offered wholly at the University of Queensland Gatton campus in 2022 (you do not have to accept your full offer before the deadline for applying for the scholarship).
  • Are University of Queensland alumni commencing a different program (for example, a Master’s after completing a Bachelor’s degree).
  • For the term of the scholarship, you’ll enroll in internal study at the University of Queensland’s Gatton campus full-time.
  • For the length of the scholarship, you shall live in an Australian regional area as determined by the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure (Australian Bureau of Statistics).
