ChangeDOTorg We Create Change Programme 2023 for Kenyans

Emerging change makers are given the tools for digital campaigning through the immersive transformational leadership curriculum We Create Change.
The initiative attempts to create a network of champions for advocacy in Kenya. This initiative, which is run by Change.org as part of their mission to empower society’s most marginalized groups, aims to support young people as they define their purpose and agency and advance their knowledge of digital campaigning. She Creates Change, which was established in India in 2017 and trained over 300 women in that country and in Indonesia, Nigeria, and Columbia, has been replaced by We Create Change. She Creates Change had a profound influence on the development of movements and the transformation of systems. Alums of the program have successfully enacted 50 changes at the policy level and garnered over 12 million signatures in support.
The program will train community leaders, people from marginalized communities, and people who are passionate about inspiring others through digital campaigning to make a difference in their communities on issues like health, sanitation, education, gender equality, and climate change. The program’s main goal is to create advocacy champions. They are searching for 40 leaders who want to drive effective campaigns on subjects including gender equality, health, sanitation, education, and climate change.
Cost
- Change.org will make all the virtual arrangements and provide a data package to selected finalists.
Eligibility
- Open to candidates who are passionate about health, sanitation, education, gender equality and climate change;
- Want to lean and use digital campaigning to bring change;
- Are open to diverse points of view and have taken action in the past for their cause area;
- Preference will be given to youth, between the age of 18-35, belonging to and/or working with marginalised and underrepresented communities across Kenya.
