bp Net Zero Scholarship to Attend the One Young World Summit 2023

The bp Net Zero Scholarship to Attend the One Young World Summit 2023 is now accepting applications. As bp strives to achieve net zero, they are aware of the need of cooperating with, learning from, and listening to others. It is for this reason that BP is happy to fund the Net Zero Scholarship, a program that seeks to find and work with young entrepreneurs who are now reimagining energy for people and the world.

Scholarship winners will accompany bp’s team to the One Young World Summit in Belfast in 2023, where they will interact and share ideas with colleagues from other business sectors. The scholarship targets applicants who have made a difference in one of the following fields:

  • Advocating for progressive climate policies.
  • Enhancing current decarbonised energy technologies such as solar and wind.
  • Improving access to decarbonised energy.
  • Innovating to reduce emissions in households, regions, cities and industries.

Benefits:

Net Zero Scholars will receive:

  • Access to the One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast.
  • Hotel accommodation between October 1-5, 2023.
  • Return flights to and from Belfast.
  • Catering which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Access to bespoke bp programming including: pre-Summit briefing, a bp buddy from the company’s internal delegation and a post-Summit feedback session.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants should be aged between 18 – 30 years.
  • Nationals of all countries will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Evidenced commitment to delivering positive change.
  • Demonstrated capacity for leadership.
  • Understanding of key local and/or global issues.
  • One Young World will actively seek and prioritise applicants who are making an impact in at least one of the following areas:
    • Enhancing current decarbonised energy technologies such as solar and wind.
    • Improving access to decarbonised energy.
    • Innovating to reduce emissions in households, cities and industries.
    • Advocating for progressive climate policies.

The applications deadline is March 6, 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
